Section 94.2 Disposition versions

94.2. Subject to section 94.3, an application for the renewal of a merchant’s permit to offer or make a contract of additional warranty must be accompanied by:

(a)  a financial report showing the financial position of the applicant’s business, including the particulars prescribed by section 170;

(b)  a proof of payment by the applicant of the costs referred to in section 260.24 of the Act.

94.2. Subject to section 94.3, an application for the renewal of a merchant’s permit to offer or make a contract of additional warranty must be accompanied by:

(a)  a financial report showing the financial position of the applicant’s business, including the particulars prescribed by section 170;

(b)  a proof of payment by the applicant of the costs referred to in section 260.24 of the Act.

Such an application and all of the documents that must accompany it must be sent to the president not less than 2 months before the expiry date of the permit.

Where such an application or any of the documents that must accompany it is sent to the president after the prescribed time period, the duties payable by the merchant in accordance with section 108.1 shall be doubled.
